Riess Photography
So, I'm trying to dig out from under the massive "stack" of disorganized photos that is my library. I'm trying to tag and organize so that I may get my photos online and share with others, especially those who I have taken pictures for... I am trying to add galleries every day for people.
Riess Photography is going to be my side thing for now and probably forever. My first senior picture session went pretty well. I think the pictures turned out well, and I learned some things along the way. I don't know if I'm up for my first solo wedding any time soon, but I'm sure that will come someday. I'm still trying to decide exactly what kind of pictures I like to take the most... definitely love portraits, scenery and the artsy-fartsy. I'm not that interested in sports or news photography. I guess for now it is a serious hobby.
If you, or anyone you know, is interested in getting photos done, give me an email. I don't charge anything for my proofs and I can do touch-up as well. Check out some of the galleries to see what I've done so far (mind you more galleries are on the way).
Welcome Benjamin Paul!Benjamin Paul Riess was born at 1:15am at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji, Minnesota. He was born weighing in at 8lbs 4oz and 21" long. Erin was quite amazed that she was holding such a formidable little guy. We left the house at about 12:40 (yes, you read that right) and headed to the hospital as quickly as possible... which means 85 in a 45 and one run light. The contractions were still 5 minutes apart when I got home from work after 10, but got stronger and closer when the water broke. I'm glad I left the lady in the ER asking me to fill out registration paperwork so I could be there for the birth of Benjamin. Benjamin's first name is one we have liked for a while; he is the "son of my right hand" and also from Benjamin Schmeling, a good friend of ours. His middle name, Paul, is from Ben's dad, Paul Schmeling; a man of significant importance in both our lives and an important spiritual mentor of mine. Katherine seems to be adjusting well so far We appreciate the many well-wishes and congratulations we have received. I look forward to posting more pictures online when I am able.
